TriathlonsSwim Bike Run
I get bored easily. This sport was made for me. I taught myself to swim long distance in a local high school's swimming pool. With help from friends and online coaching, I was able to swim a mile continuously. It's now my favorite leg of the triathlon and the one I'm most competitive in. I've upgraded my equipment on the bike leg. I've also learned how to pedal more efficiently and safely use aero bars. The run is where the race is won. It's the true test of your endurance and determination. I've done 3 road Sprint Triathlons and 1 Xterra. My goal is to compete in 1 Triathlon a year. My stretch goal is to do an Olympic Distance Road Triathlon. |

RunningI started distance running for one reason. My family.
After poor results from a physical. I decided it was time to make a selfless decision. The blood test showed that my HDL cholesterol was very low. This is the good cholesterol that helps breakdown the bad cholesterol. You want this to be as high as possible. In my case, my genetics caused mine to be low. One way to raise it is to start exercising. I've ran: 3 half marathons (13.1 miles) 1 Tough Mudder (10 miles, 20 obstacles) Several 5k and 10k races My goal is to run 1 half marathon a year. My bucket list includes running a full marathon. |
